ILOILO City – Santa ClaritaInternational School Primes ruled the boys category of the Samahang Basketbolng Pilipinas (SBP) 3×3 U-18 basketball national regional finals at the Ateneode Iloilo Gym. The Bacolodnon team were led by KayePesquera, Shalimar Dublar, Hallyza Quiatchon, and Charity Grace Gicana. “We are fortunate to come out as thewinner on Sunday. Medyo nakakapagod kasi it’wa a one-day tournament at sunod-sunod‘yung games,” said Primes head coach Rodel Camacho. “We will do our best torepresent the region well sanationals.” For being the boys and girls categorychampions, Primes and Bacolod City National High are to represent the WesternVisayas in the SBP U-18 3X3 Basketball National Finals from Oct. 28 to 30 atthe Robinson’s Place in Ermita, Manila./PN Led by Kimrey Servano, RogelleAlvaladejo, Mon Alfred Pedrajas, and Michael Jose Jayme, the Primes defeatedHua Siong-Dragon team of Jessie Beker, Christian Palilei, Jims Jimiera, andZion Sigua in the finals, 15-14. Bacolod City National High School, onthe other hand, emerged as the winner in the distaff side. It defeated the Colegiode la Purisima Concepcion of Roxas City in overtime, 14-12.
