Moroccos Head of Govt receives CEO of General Electric

Rabat – Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane received, on Monday in Rabat, chief executive officer of General Electric (GE) Jeffrey Immelt who is on a working visit to Morocco.During the meeting, Benkirane highlighted Morocco’s reform process carried out, under the leadership of Mohammed VI, in all areas notably in the economic field for which several measures were adopted to promote the business climate, support investments and implement important programs to train engineers and technicians.According to a statement by the head of government’s office, Benkirane said that these measures turned Morocco into an example to follow in the region and a destination for major investors by helping the country improve its ratings in global ranking. He also underscored Morocco’s special status in Africa, given its historical ties of friendship and fruitful cooperation with many African countries, which enables it to play a pioneer role as a platform for investment in Africa.The CEO of GE, an American multinational conglomerate corporation, voiced his admiration for reforms undertaken in Morocco, saying that his company is eager to reinforce its investments in the Kingdom.
